Yesterday I made this comic and wrote a grant application to the Toronto Arts Council. They never give me any money, but every year it’s a fun experience in some way or another. This year I got to do an Indiana Jones roll under the closing door and then huck my grant proposal into the application box just as it slid into a hidden compartment in an ancient stone wall.
But no seriously, I just barely got it in under the wire and I almost got hit by a vespa as I scampered down Bathurst Street.
I don’t know if I captured it or not, but the sound in the last panel is supposed to be the one that that grape-stomping newswoman makes on youtube.
